Upcoming Project
Moving Together - Creating Together

Project Overview
“Moving Together – Creating Together” is an inclusive creative movement initiative led by Natasa Georgiou, dance artist and educator, and supported by the Neofytos Cultural Organisation, a member of EASPD. The project has been honoured with the Broadening Access to Dance Award, recognising its role in promoting inclusion and equal participation through dance.
The programme, part of DIS – Together We Are Better, a pan-European initiative for inclusive culture and artistic collaboration, brings together people with and without disabilities across ages and backgrounds. Through movement, improvisation, body storytelling, rhythm, and multi-sensory activities, participants explore creativity and communication beyond words. Adapted exercises, visual supports, and the presence of a sign language interpreter ensure accessibility, allowing all participants to engage fully.
Workshops foster trust, collaboration, and empathy, culminating in a collective participatory creation reflecting the shared experiences and co-creative process of the group. The cycle concludes with a public presentation during the DIS – Together We Are Better Festival 2026 in Limassol, Cyprus, held under the auspices of the Cypriot Presidency of the European Union, showcasing inclusive artistic practice to local and international audiences.
Aligned with the festival’s artistic, educational, and social pillars, the project demonstrates how dance can act as a universal language to connect communities, celebrate diversity, and promote social cohesion. By supporting this initiative, ISTD contributes to the visibility, sustainability, and recognition of inclusive dance, reinforcing the role of the arts in fostering accessibility, participation, and cultural exchange across Europe.
