Natasa

Senior Instructor / Principal Teacher / Choreographer

Natasa Georgiou is a dance consultant, mentor, researcher, choreographer, and Modern Theatre Dance Examiner, with more than thirty-six years of experience in training, producing, and promoting modern and contemporary dance and creative movement in Cyprus and abroad.

Natasa Georgiouis a graduate of Laine Theatre Arts, London, holds an MA in Choreography from Middlesex University, and is a Fellow and Modern Theatre Dance Examiner of the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD).


Natasa was a founding member and later Director of Dance House Lemesos, integrating the organisation into various EU cultural programmes.


She created the innovative Moving at Home Creative Movement programme for children, teenagers, and adults. She is the Director of the Moving Arts Centre, where she teaches Creative Movement and Body Conditioning.


As a choreographer with interact dance co., she participated in various festivals and received awards within the framework of the Cyprus Dance Platform.


She was awarded the Broadening Access to Dance Award 2025–2026 by the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD) in recognition of her contribution to widening access to dance.


She is currently leading the pilot creative movement programme in public schools titled “Moving Together – Creating Together”, promoting inclusion, collaboration, and creative expression through dance.
Natasa has been a pioneer and active member of various committees and groups that worked dynamically towards the development of infrastructure for contemporary dance in Cyprus.

Melina

Dance Teacher / Choreographer

Melina was born in Cyprus in 1999 and moved to the Netherlands in 2018 to study in Artez University in Arnhem, Netherlands, where she created her solo work “To the Rhythm of Our Soul”, later reworked it with two dancers, and also collaborated on a duet with Polina Nikolaeva titled “Golden Frame”.

After completing her studies, she choreographed “A Shoe from the Homeland” as a resident artist at Dance House Lemesos.
Melina has performed for Corneliu Ganea, Dunja Jocic, Dario Tortorelli, Olga Markari, Interact Dance Co., Philippe Saire, Diastasis Company, Milena Ugren Koulas, Katerina Tylliridou, Elena Gabriel, and Evi Panayiotou.


She represented Cyprus in EU projects including “Re-connect: Dance and Theatre Training in Dialogue with the Global South”, organized by Antagon Theatre AKTion, Ondadurto Theatre, and DOREA Educational Institute (an Erasmus+ project) in Antrodoco, Italy, November 2021; and the European dance project at Maison de la Danse with Angelin Preljocaj in Aix-en-Provence, France, December 2021.


Melina has participated in numerous workshops, including Nicole Beutler Repertoire, Trisha Brown Repertoire, Akram Khan Repertoire with Nicola Monaco, Amos Ben-Tal, Gaga workshops in Amsterdam, Trisha Brown online workshop with Shelly Senter, Sidi Larbi/Eastman Foundation, Satoshi Kudo Repertoire, Linda Kapetanea in Athens, and Panos Malactos and Jason Mabana workshops.


She has collaborated as a teacher-choreographer with the Cyprus Dance Association and Ballet Cyprus, and since 2017, she has been working as a teacher assistant at Moving Arts Centre, where she also choreographs for the school’s children’s shows.


She founded the Corus Motus Youth Company and leads intensive summer workshops for young students under its program.
